how to play hymns on your cell phone

you know how your phone beeps really annoying-ly when you're dialing a number? have you ever tried to play a song on it? no? yes you have. i know you have. i know things.
*cough*
anyway, i just now figured out how to play "a mighty fortress is our God" and "when i survey the wondrous cross" on my phone. 'cause i'm weird.
oh, and there's no sharps or flats on a cell phone. obvz. so i had to alter some notes a little bit.

a mighty fortress is our God

8 8 8 5 6 7 8 7 6 5
(a mighty fortress is our God,)

8 7 6 5 6 4 3 2 1
(a bulwark never failing;)

8 8 8 5 6 7 8 7 6 5
(our helper He, amid the flood)

8 7 6 5 6 4 3 2 1
(of mortal ills prevailing:)

1 5 6 5 5 5
(for still our ancient foe)

1 5 5 6 7 8
(doth seek to work us woe;)

7 8 7 6 6 5
(his craft and power are great,)

6 6 5 6 4 3
(and, armed with cruel hate,)

8 7 6 5 6 4 3 2 1
(on earth is not his equal.)

when i survey the wondrous cross

8 8 9 * 9 * 0 * 9 *
(when i survey the wondrous cross)

* * * 0 * 9 8 7 8 9
(on which the Prince of glory died,)

8 8 9 * 9 * 0 * 9 *
(my richest gain i count but loss,)

* * * 9 8 9 * 9 8
(and pour contempt on all my pride.)

repeat until you have played all of the verses and/or your family yells at you to stop, for their sanity's sake.
...
i have too much time on my hands...
