it RAINED yesterday.

look what i found in the gutter that flows into the creek in my backyard.



A CRAWFISH.
i see them a lot in the creek, but this is the first time i've actually caught one.
I'M SO OUTDOORSY.



when i set him loose he ran down to the little ledge next to the creek, then he saw it was a straight drop down. so he tried to hold on with his claws but eventually fell. i tried to help him but i didn't want to get pinched (and i was laughing so hard) but he ended up okay.
